The papers of George F. Hall conisist of the letters that he wrote home to his father, Israel Hall, while was serving in Company C, 2nd Iowa Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. He wrote of the food and weather, the condition of their clothing, Copperheads, and promotions with the regiment.
